Christmas is here again, and you know that means reindeer and snowmen. So if you’re looking for a super simple Christmas craft to make with your kids this year, this toilet paper roll reindeer is it, because you can pull this together in minutes with what you already have at home.
My kids and I made these little reindeer together last week, and each of us created our own versions. I remember seeing my 6-year-old turn the reindeer into mini puppets after we were done. It was both cute and funny.

Supplies you’ll need
- Empty toilet paper roll
- Pipe cleaners (brown or gold work perfectly!)
- Googly eyes
- Red pom pom (for Rudolph’s nose, of course!)
- Black marker
- Glue
- Hole puncher (optional, because you can use a pair of scissors too)
How to make your toilet paper roll reindeer

First, take your toilet paper roll and press the top flat to create a soft point; this will be the reindeer’s head.

The next thing is to add the antlers. Use a hole punch or your scissors to make two small holes on the top edges.

Then twist two pipe cleaners through the holes to make the reindeer’s antlers. When that’s done, curl the ends of the pipe cleaner around your finger to give it that real antler look.

Now you’ll want to give it a face, so what you’ll do is glue two googly eyes on the roll

Add a red pom pom for the nose.

And then draw a little smile with a black marker.

And that’s it, your reindeer is done! And ready for Christmas!
