Our book basket might be small, but it’s mighty. Right now, we’ve got a couple of books that my kids keep pulling off the shelf—some that help us talk about Jesus, some that build early learning skills.
If you’re looking for a mix of Christian encouragement, preschooler-friendly learning, and sweet stories to snuggle up with, these are the books we’re loving this season. I’ll be updating this list as we discover more favourites—so think of this as a growing little shelf, not a giant list.

LET’S GOOO……

The Very Hungry Caterpillar
This one’s my 3-year-old’s favourite; she especially loves naming the foods, and my 5-year-old always remembers what comes next. Great for counting and story sequencing!

My 5-year-old is in love with this book. It’s packed with knowledge about everything a 5-7-year-old might be curious to know about the world we live in.

This is our go-to for short bedtime stories. It talks about how we can pray. My five-year-old is hooked!

I love this one because it boosts observation skills and attention to detail.

This is another one of our favourite bedtime stories. It tells kids that prayer has no size or limit.

This one’s sweet and calming. Perfect for winding down before bedtime. I read this one to my kids almost every night.
