Our book basket might be small, but it’s mighty, and right now we’ve got a couple of books we’ve been reading that help us talk about Jesus, and some that build early learning skills.
A nice little book that teaches kids how to pray. Perfect for bedtime
this one’s in German but it answers all the questions your 5-year-old asks everyday about the earth
A nice fairy book to talk about feelings and reactions
A story that talks about giving….but it’s much deeper than that
If you’re looking for a mix of Christian encouragement, preschooler-friendly learning, and sweet stories to snuggle up with, these are the books we’ve been loving. I’ll be updating this list as we discover more favourites, so think of this as a growing little shelf, not a giant list.
LET’S GOOO……
It’s witty, but It’s such a simple story that gently introduces ideas like, making choices or listening to warnings, and the rhyming makes it perfect for early readers who are starting to notice patterns in words
It’s such a simple story that quietly encourages kids to trust their imagination, be creative, and keep going instead of giving up.
Great for Helping your prschooler or first grader learn how to read
Another great set of books that encourages kids aged 3-5 to read
This is another one of our favourite bedtime stories. It tells kids that prayer has no size or limit.
This one’s sweet and calming. Perfect for winding down before bedtime. I read this one to my kids almost every night.
I love this one because it boosts observation skills and attention to detail.
Your 2 & 4 year olds would love this one. Old but gold and great for teaching vocabulary
